Fed: Regions confident, despite difficulties - AIG
CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Drought, the inadequacy of land transport infrastructure andskill shortages were the major threats to an otherwise optimistic regional business sector,the Australian Industry Group (AIG) said today.
The AIG's Outlook 2003, which reports on a survey of mainly manufacturing businessesacross 14 regions outside of the major capital cities, showed more than 60 per cent ofcompanies surveyed expect turnover to increase in 2003.
About 80 per cent expected either to maintain or to increase investment in 2003.
