NSW:Winemakers expel AGL

Hunter Valley winemakers are going to expel natural gas company AGL from their ranks
because of its coal seam gas exploration.

The Hunter Valley Wine Industry Association has passed a resolution calling for the
expulsion of AGL.

HVWIA president ANDREW MARGAN says CSG exploration and mining just don't belong in
Australia's most iconic winery region.

Mr MARGAN says unsightly gas wells and rigs are a blight on the local landscape and
a threat to underwater aquifers.

AGL was admitted as a member of the HVWIA in 2010.
