Qld: Factory worker given bail on tourist rape charges

BRISBANE, Jan 14 AAP - A 21-year-old factory worker appeared in court today chargedwith raping a female backpacker and sexually assaulting another in their hostel.
Brisbane's Magistrates Court was told the man entered the inner-city Palace BackpackersHostel about 5.30am on Sunday and attacked the women.
Police allege the Bendigo-born man, who works at Brisbane's Berri Fruit Juice factoryas a machine operator, climbed into bed with his clothes on and put his arms around thefirst woman who repeatedly pushed him off.
